"After finding a cancerous tumor in one of my legs, I was a runner left without the use of my left leg. It was boh physically and emotionally devastating to lose the use of a limb. I was becoming increasingly frustrated with traditional physical therapy
as a neans for fixing a poorly functionng leg after months of not using it. The theory was painful and producing litle to no results.
I thought there must be something else out there that might help more than the painful pushing and pulling that was occurring nearly daily at physical therapy.
A family member referred me to a Myofascial Release therapist, Rowena Cua. I was immediately impressed by Rowena's kind of nature, warm spirit, and the tremendous amount of knowledge she was willing to share with me about fascia and the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach. Rowena and I have worked together weekly to release scar tissue and trauma and restore the function to my leg. Her care and treatment have been vital to my recovery."
Her doctors told her that she probably wouldn't be able to straighten her leg again because they removed so much of her hamstrings from the sarcoma. After Myofascial Release she was able to walk without a limp and straighten her leg, therefore being able to run again!

A Happy Mom
I am so happy to have found Rowena for my baby girl. I initially sought out treatment as my baby had brachycephaly (flat head) and I was hoping to avoid helmet treatment. I did online searching and found Rowena. Within just a few sessions with Rowena, some physical therapy work and sleep repositioning, my baby's head has changed immensely. The helmet doctor said she no longer needs a helmet and was actually quite shocked to see such dramatic results without a helmet. My baby was born via vacuum 4 weeks preterm. She had pretty significant tension, some torticolis, and didn't like tummy time. And I'm sure she had birth trauma from her head being pulled on while entering the world. It made sense that she developed a flat head. Rowena has helped with all of these issues immensely and I see such a positive change in my baby. She greaty enjoys her sessions and has a big positive energy shift immediately after. My only regret is that I didn't see Rowena sooner. Thank you!
