ABOUT US

Water is everywhere & present in all tissues. It is 85% of our body weight. We have a constant volume but variable pressure in different areas.

About Us

Body Resonance Myofascial Wellness Center, LLC is different from traditional physical therapy, massage, or chiropractic facilities because we address a significant and commonly overlooked head-to-toe system and structure of the body – the fascial system.

In doing so, we address the root cause of the pain, not just the symptoms. By treating the actual root cause, symptoms can finally be eliminated. We use a holistic, whole body approach and perform strictly one-on-one treatments that produce effective and lasting results.

At Body Resonance, we look beyond the traditional methods of masking the pain or placing a superficial “band-aid” on areas that call for more than a temporary cover-up solution. Authentic healing and recovery is achieved by addressing your entire body's structural imbalances in addition to other underlying past emotional or physical traumas that are held within your tissue memory; only then will you be able to experience true, long-lasting effects that allow you to fully feel and function better, enabling you to return to the pain-free lifestyle you desire.

Our specialty in Myofascial Release (MFR) allows us to view each patient as a unique individual, and is particularly helpful in the treatment of both new and stubborn or chronic problems that have not been resolved by traditional methods. Our highly trained therapists use a multitude of manual techniques and movement therapy. We promote independence through education in postural awareness and proper body mechanics, self-treatment instruction, enhancement of strength, and improvement in flexibility and overall quality of life.

Our therapists have extensive training in MFR taught by John F. Barnes, PT, LMT, NCTMB, the leading authority on Myofascial Release, international lecturer, author, and acknowledged expert in the areas of physical and massage therapy since the 1960s, It is essential to be aware that there are many who advertise the use of MFR, but misleadingly practice an old, forceful, solely structural, and aggressive form of care. This old form does not follow the guidelines of the current holistic form of Myofascial Release as instructed by John F. Barnes. Therefore, it is important to seek an MFR therapist who specializes in the John F. Barnes approach for the ultimate whole mind-body care. This work is not simply considered “alternative” therapy; it is authentic therapy and the most natural, intuitive, and safest form of true healing on many levels. It is one of the most effective forms of treatment in healthcare today.

Opinions about us

I have two children who are polar opposites of each other. One is mellow, and the other is quite spirited. At the end of the day, one thing is for sure. MFR helps quiet their soul and unwind their minds. I've seen them go from uptight or high-strung to a much-needed calm within minutes just by a gentle rocking motion. This method is not just for adults, but for children as well.

A dancer has a high tolerance for pain and sometimes we allow that to go numb just to get through the movements. What I love about receiving MFR as a dancer is being able to move my body without the pain and restrictions I built up while training. The greater range of motion and effortless freedom to move has helped me to continue my training and enjoy a longer career with dance.

The subtle energy of Myofascial release was the only thing that gave me immediate relief with lasting effects. When you worked on my knee Rowena, the gentle touch initially felt soothing superficially and then after a few minutes I started to feel the fascia move underneath the skin. I could feel the restricted, bound area being stretched and released without pain. I was relieved and immediately after treating me I felt noticeably improved range of motion, loss of swelling and significant pain reduction in the local area. Additionally, below and above the injury the muscles felt much better. As a patient I believe in this work first hand and you have inspired me to practice this in my work as a therapist myself to help others find relief that works and lasts..thank you love !!!!!
